Miss UK Nepal is a beauty pageant for young Nepali girls ( aged between 16-24) living across the UK. First started in 2010 by Events and Ideas Productions, it takes place annually at Hampshire, UK. It was initiated with an aim to provide a platform for young talented girls to discover and showcase their hidden potential. Through the event, we also promote our cultural heritage, celebrate unity and reward beauty, talent and intelligence.

Durga Gurung, 20, of Hounslow has been crowned this year's Miss UK-Nepal.
In the beauty pageant held at Farnborough on Sunday evening, she also grabbed the 'best figure' title and a cash prize of 800 pounds. A business administration student of Kingston University, Gurung said she plans to work in wildlife conservation.
The participation in the contest was low this year, with only 10 competing for the title. Renowned journalist and social worker Khagendra Nepali, entrepreneur Pashupati Bhandari, social worker Tuka Kshetri, Dr Padam Simkhada, former Miss Nepal Jenisha Moktan, general manager of Nepali TV Pravin Gurung, among others were judges.
The winner originally hails from Pokhara. She came to the UK five years ago.
Parika Ale and Nayan Gurung has been declared first and second runner up respectively.
